Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene have reportedly tied the knot in a quiet ceremony.
Del Rey, 39, and Dufrene exchanged vows on Thursday, September 26, at a scenic bayou in Des Allemands, Louisiana, where Dufrene works as a captain for Arthur’s Airboat Tours. Photos shared by the U.K.’s Daily Mail show the couple during their special day.
The couple officially became engaged after acquiring a marriage license from the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court on September 23. The law granted them 30 days from the date they received the license to finalize the marriage, which they promptly did within just a few days.
In the Daily Mail’s photos, Del Rey is seen wearing a stunning floor-length white gown with a ruffled, scooped neckline. Her hair was elegantly tied back with a soft blue ribbon, with curls cascading over her left shoulder. The images also show the singer being escorted down the aisle by her father, Robert Grant, holding a delicate bouquet of flowers.
As they walked down the aisle, Del Rey and Dufrene were photographed hand in hand, with Dufrene donning a dark suit paired with a white shirt and brown shoes. The ceremony appeared to take place by the waterside, with a large white tent adorned with chairs set up for the guests. Following the ceremony, additional tents were set up for what seemed to be the reception, with tables and chairs arranged on the grass. The atmosphere was lively, with guests in formal attire mingling under the tents and near the harbor, where a boat decorated with flowers was moored, seemingly prepared for the newlyweds.
While Del Rey’s siblings, Caroline Grant and Charlie Hill-Grant, were seen attending the ceremony, there was no mention or photographs of her mother, Patricia Hill.
Despite their whirlwind romance not being widely publicized, Del Rey and Dufrene’s marriage follows several years of acquaintance. The “Summertime Sadness” singer first crossed paths with Dufrene during one of his wildlife tours in Louisiana, and she shared their first public photos together back in 2019 on Facebook. “Jeremy let me be captain at Arthur’s Airboat Tours,” she captioned the post, sparking curiosity about their relationship.
Romance rumors gained momentum in May 2024 when Del Rey shared an Instagram post tagging Dufrene and seemingly referring to him as her “guy.” The photo included her siblings, with the caption reading, “Family w my guy @jeremy.dufrene @codyjay.”
By August 2024, the couple had been spotted together in public, with a TikTok video capturing them holding hands at the Leeds Festival in England, where Del Rey performed. However, it wasn’t until September that the singer officially confirmed their relationship. On September 7, the couple made a public appearance at model Karen Elson’s wedding to Lee Foster, owner of Electric Lady Studios. Del Rey and Dufrene were seen holding hands at the event, with their matching blue outfits catching attention.
Dufrene, who has three children from a previous relationship, found a new path in life after leaving his job at a chemical plant. He later pursued his passion for wildlife and became a licensed captain, a job he is described as being a “great fit” for, according to his bio on Arthur’s Airboat Tours’ website. For Del Rey, this marks her first marriage.
Although representatives for Del Rey have not commented on the marriage, the couple’s relationship appears to be strong, marked by their recent wedding and growing public appearances together.
