Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson’s Dreamy Amalfi Coast Wedding: A Star-Studded Celebration of Love

Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson have officially tied the knot, not once, but twice. After a quiet civil ceremony at The Connaught Hotel in London on August 9, the “Gossip Girl” star, 37, and the “Supergirl” actress, 32, exchanged vows again on August 24 in a grand destination wedding on Italy’s stunning Amalfi Coast.

The couple invited 220 guests from the U.S., India, and various parts of Europe for a lavish three-day celebration set against the backdrop of Italy’s breathtaking scenery. Jackson shared with PEOPLE that the Amalfi Coast was “the perfect place” for their wedding, describing it as a region of “timeless romance and vintage charm.”

“We wanted a wedding spot that was naturally beautiful, surrounded by the ocean, hills, and vineyards, but also unique, and we found just that,” Jackson explained.

The guest list included Westwick’s former “Gossip Girl” co-star Kelly Rutherford, model and actress Daisy Lowe, comedian Jack Whitehall and his partner Roxy Horner, film producer Mohammed Al Turki, and cosmetics mogul Dr. Barbara Sturm.

The festivities kicked off on Friday, August 23, with a sunset cruise on the Motonave Patrizia. Jackson recounted, “We sailed along the coastline of Ravello, Positano, and Sorrento before anchoring at Capri for a swim as the sun set behind the Faraglioni rocks.”

To capture the nostalgic glamour of Capri’s golden era, the cruise was adorned with blue-and-white décor and featured live Italian music. Guests enjoyed Bellinis and a menu of Neapolitan-inspired cuisine curated by Michelin-starred chef Salvatore Iazzetta of Ristorante Rear in Naples, along with freshly prepared sushi by Vero Omakase.

The dinner menu offered a variety of delights, including zucchine alla scapece (zucchini with mint) and melanzane a funghetto (eggplant, tomato, and basil), street food like pasta fritters and deep-fried arancini, citrus risotto, and raviolo with cacio ricotta cheese. For dessert, there were fresh fruits and delizia al limone (lemon sponge cake).

On Saturday, the couple, with the help of wedding planning firm Bianco Bouquet and concierge service Elite Villas, held their ceremony at the historic Castello di Rocca. The venue, perched in the hills and offering panoramic views of the sea, provided the perfect setting. Jackson commented, “It was the ideal backdrop for the classic styles of our Italian designers Giorgio Armani and Alberta Ferretti.”

To create an atmosphere of home, the couple filled the 16th-century castle with floral arrangements, aided by Federica Sottili of The Blonde Flower. “We recently moved into our new home in the British countryside, and our garden brings us so much happiness and peace. We wanted to recreate that enchanted garden feel for our ceremony,” Jackson revealed.

Sottili lined the aisle with white cherry trees and white roses, creating a pathway that Jackson described as feeling “like a secret garden.” Walking down the aisle, she felt as if she was stepping into “an enchanted world.”

Jackson’s 4-year-old son, Andreas, whom she shares with her ex-partner Andreas Panayiotou, served as Westwick’s best man alongside Westwick’s friend Mike. The trio walked down the aisle to the James Brown hit “I Got You (I Feel Good),” played by a string quartet. Westwick, donning an Armani tuxedo with a white jacket and black pants, shared, “We both wanted [Andreas] to be an integral part of this special moment.”

Jackson, accompanied by flower girls, made her entrance to her favorite song, “Nuvole Bianche” by Ludovico Einaudi, in a custom-made gown by Italian designer Alberta Ferretti. The gown, crafted from a light and airy mikado fabric, was perfect for the Italian summer. Jackson shared a touching moment, saying, “The 15-foot hand-embroidered veil brought me to tears when I first saw it.”

For the reception, Jackson changed into a second gown by Pronovias Atelier, inspired by her love for French couturier Madame Grès’ draped, sculptural designs. Jackson described the dress as “the perfect fusion of past and present,” combining a modern embellished corset and diamond rain-like gloves with vintage elements.

Since the couple had already exchanged traditional vows in London, they chose to recite handwritten vows during the Italian ceremony. Jackson reflected, “Using our own words allowed us to make personal promises for our future, and also look back on our journey together so far.”

After sharing a kiss, the newlyweds exited the ceremony to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” with their guests dancing behind them down the aisle.

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued with guests slipping into comfortable slippers and parading around the castle walls, led by flag bearers and musicians. “There was limoncello, dancing, singing, and total organized chaos,” Jackson joked.

The reception featured an apertivo with various live cooking stations, including an oyster bar, a vegetarian corner, and a friggitoria section serving fried pizzas with tomato, basil, and parmesan. The couple sourced their wine from the Villa Matilde Avallone winery in Cellole and offered non-alcoholic champagne from Johnson Reserve.

“We wanted our guests to leave full and happy,” Westwick noted, emphasizing their focus on great food and drink. “We also wanted to embrace the seasonal produce of the Amalfi Coast and have a unique menu typical of the region.”

The seated dinner began with a pasta primi course, featuring gnocchetti with asparagus and a guanciale, date, and caciocavallo fondue, along with Neapolitan-style escarole with restricted anchovy sauce and black truffle. The main course was snapper with scampi and clam guazzetto sauce. Westwick commented, “It was a feast that truly celebrated the rich flavors of Italian cuisine.”

The couple’s five-tier wedding cake, created by pastry chef Damiano Carrara, featured layers of white chocolate and candied roses, vanilla Bavarian cream, and a pâte à choux biscuit base topped with lychee mousse and raspberry gelée. To honor Westwick’s late parents, Carole and Peter, Carrara also crafted strawberry and meringue-inspired chocolates, their favorite treat, which were given to guests as favors.

After dinner, the newlyweds shared their first dance to Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon,” though it was cut short by design. “The bridesmaids were briefed to crash our first dance after 60 seconds. We managed to get our moves in during that time — anything longer would have been entertaining for all the wrong reasons!” Jackson laughed. The dance transitioned into “Dancing in the Moonlight,” inviting everyone to join in.

The wedding weekend concluded on Sunday, August 25, with a farewell brunch at the Giardini del Fuenti beach club in Vietri sul Mare. Guests enjoyed a family-style Italian meal under lemon trees, followed by an afternoon of sunbathing and taking in the beautiful views. Chef Ciro Oliva of Naples’ famed pizzeria Concettina ai Tre Santi prepared an assortment of pizzas and other local dishes, with the meal ending on a sweet note with freshly made donuts.

Jackson described the brunch as “the perfect farewell” to their loved ones after an unforgettable weekend. “We laughed and ate all afternoon until the sun set,” she reminisced.

As they reflect on their magical Italian wedding, the couple, who first met in 2021 and got engaged in January 2024 in Gstaad, Switzerland, expressed their excitement for their future together. “For me, [marrying Westwick] means having a life partner to adventure with, to share love and support, to create a beautiful family, and to have each other’s backs throughout all of life’s moments,” Jackson shared. “It’s about building a future together and creating endless memories, knowing that we are a team through it all.”

Westwick added, “This all represents a new level of energy for a new adventure — the best one you can possibly have. I spent my life wondering who she would be, and then I found her.”

The couple also hopes to expand “their little family” in the near future. Jackson, reflecting on Westwick’s bond with her son, said, “I adore how Ed is with my son Andreas, and I can’t wait to see him as a father one day too.”

While the newlyweds had planned a honeymoon to Kenya, they had to postpone it due to Westwick’s filming schedule for his new show, “Sandokan.” Despite the delay, Westwick assured, “When we do go, the trip will be so amazing. We adore nature and wildlife, and to witness this incredible location we haven’t been to before will be sensational. A real bucket list trip for us.”

Jackson humorously added, “I won’t be letting the honeymoon slide. Having Ed to myself for a week is my first request as Mrs. Westwick.”
